In sports, Kansas State University’s Wildcats compete in NCAA Division I athletics, with football, basketball, and baseball teams that draw passionate support from fans across the region. The Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium and Bramlage Coliseum serve as the home venues for these teams, providing exciting game-day experiences for sports enthusiasts.
Major attractions in the Manhattan metro area include the Konza Prairie Biological Station, a nature preserve and research site that offers hiking trails and educational programs on tallgrass prairie ecology. The Sunset Zoo features exhibits showcasing animals from around the world, while the Flint Hills Discovery Center offers interactive exhibits on the history, geology, and ecology of the Flint Hills region.
