Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP®) is the credentialing body for the Resilience-Building Leadership Professional® series of leadership certifications.
In 2018, we convened a panel of subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct a comprehensive job-task analysis (JTA) that identified the leader tasks essential to building and leading resilient teams. These tasks are collectively referred to as the Resilience-Building Leadership Framework.
We reviewed and validated the leader tasks in 2023, confirming the continued relevance of the framework in today’s workplaces.
We have issued thousands of leadership certifications to new and aspiring (RBLP), experienced (RBLP Coach), and senior managers (RBLP Trainer) working in all types of organizations.
RBLP was founded by Dr. Gene Coughlin in 2018. He continues to serve as the Chief Certification Officer.

RBLP HQ is in Rapid City, South Dakota. Known as the Gateway to Mount Rushmore, Rapid City is a vibrant city at the foot of the Black Hills. Also known as the City of Presidents, it features life-size bronze statues of every former U.S. President from George Washington to Donald Trump along its downtown streets. A statue of President Biden has been commissioned.
