Major employers in the region include Yavapai Regional Medical Center, which provides comprehensive healthcare services to residents, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a prestigious institution known for its aviation and aerospace programs.
Prescott is also home to several top colleges and universities, including Prescott College and Yavapai College, which offer a range of degree programs and vocational training opportunities to students in the area.
Culturally, the Prescott metro area has a rich heritage rooted in the Old West, with a vibrant arts scene and numerous cultural attractions. Major attractions in the Prescott metro area include the historic downtown district, which features charming shops, restaurants, and art galleries housed in restored Victorian-era buildings. The Sharlot Hall Museum offers insight into the region’s pioneer history, while the Phippen Museum showcases Western art and artifacts.
