In terms of sports, Rimouski is perhaps best known as the home of the Rimouski Océanic, a major junior ice hockey team that competes in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). The Océanic play their home games at the Centre Georges-Vézina, a state-of-the-art arena that also hosts concerts, trade shows, and other events throughout the year.
Major attractions in the Rimouski area include the Parc national du Bic, a stunning coastal park renowned for its dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and diverse wildlife, and the Site historique maritime de la Pointe-au-Père, a maritime museum and historic site that offers insights into the region’s maritime heritage.
