The University of Central Florida (UCF), the largest in Florida, is a research hub specializing in engineering, business, healthcare, and simulation technologies, with its College of Medicine located at Lake Nona Medical City. Rollins College, a private liberal arts college in Winter Park, is known for business, social sciences, and humanities, including its Crummer Graduate School of Business.

The metro area’s community colleges provide affordable education, workforce training, and transfer pathways. Valencia College, serving Orange and Osceola counties, offers associate degrees, technical certifications, and a direct transfer to UCF via DirectConnect. Seminole State College of Florida in Seminole County and Lake-Sumter State College in Lake County provide bachelor’s and associate degrees.

Florida Technical College (FTC) offers career-focused programs in criminal justice, IT, and medical assisting. AdventHealth University specializes in nursing, radiography, and biomedical sciences. Full Sail University is a leader in digital media, film, music production, and game design, while Everglades University provides degrees in aviation, business, and construction management.

Orange Technical College, Osceola Technical College (oTECH), and Lake Technical College offer programs in health sciences, IT, skilled trades, and emergency services. Seminole County Public Schools Career & Technical Education supports STEM and skilled trades training for students and adults.
