Do the U.S. Military COOL/CA programs pay for RBLP Leadership Certifications?
The Resilience-Building Leader Program (RBLP) has proudly participated in the Department of Defense (DoD) Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program since 2020, helping military personnel earn leadership certifications that strengthen their careers during and after service.
The program is designed to help service members earn professional certifications and licenses that enhance both their military careers and future civilian employment opportunities. Through this program, eligible Active-Duty, Reserve, and National Guard personnel can receive financial assistance to cover the costs of training, study materials, exams, and associated fees for approved credentials.
The goal is to align professional development with the skills, knowledge, and leadership experience gained during military service, making service members more competitive in the civilian job market while also improving readiness and expertise within their military roles.
Each branch of service – Army | Air Force | Navy | Marine Corps | Coast Guard – sets its own eligibility requirements, funding limits, and policies for administering credentialing assistance, so the specifics can vary depending on where a service member serves.
One of the key strengths of the Credentialing Assistance Program is its flexibility. Service members can pursue certifications that are directly related to their military occupational specialties, as well as credentials that support broader career goals beyond their current assignments.
By investing in professional credentials, the DoD not only equips service members with valuable, transferable skills but also strengthens the overall workforce by ensuring that highly trained leaders are prepared to succeed during and after their time in uniform.
