RBLP Code of Ethics for Certified Leaders
RBLP Certified Leaders understand their responsibility to uphold and adhere to the RBLP Code of Ethics. They acknowledge that maintaining the integrity and reputation of the RBLP series of leadership certifications requires consistent adherence to these ethical standards. They further acknowledge that violations of the RBLP Code of Ethics may result in the revocation of an earned certification.
Specifically, RBLP Certified Leaders are expected to:
- Act with honesty, humility, empathy, moral courage, and integrity in all workplace activities and decisions.
- Treat people with dignity, fairness, and respect while practicing active listening and fostering professional relationships.
- Communicate honestly, respectfully, and professionally with employees, peers, customers, and stakeholders.
- Enforce standards and accountability fairly and consistently.
- Encourage learning, professional development, and the growth of others.
- Avoid conflicts of interest and refrain from using leadership positions for personal gain or improper advantage.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive, personal, and organizational information appropriately.
- Promote ethical behavior, accountability, and professionalism within teams and organizations.
- Foster workplace environments free from harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and abusive conduct.
- Encourage the honest reporting of concerns, misconduct, and unethical behavior without fear of retaliation.
- Use organizational resources, authority, and influence responsibly and in the best interests of the organization and team.
- Make decisions responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and organizational standards.
- Accept responsibility for mistakes, take appropriate corrective action, and encourage continuous improvement.
- Lead by example and uphold the reputation, values, and professionalism of the organization and the leadership profession.
